reaching xypath

In earlier versions instead of "<xypath>" i could just enter "." at the AB and there i go. Now I can't, xyplorer stays on the current location.
1) is there a way to enable this behavior? I can't think on a reasonable search term to look after on forum search, sorry...
2) (wish) i always wanted to shoot "." at the AB and have the focus on list, at the first file after the last folder. Can this be implemented as a tweak, please?

1)Tools > Configuration > Advanced > Check Address Bar relative to application path.
