Copy freeze

Hi,
I don't know if this is a bug or I have to set the option.
My backgrounded file operations are all on.
When I copy or move a big file from my usb hard drive or to my usb hard drive
The copying windows appears and I can't use XYplorer in the meantime,
I have to wait til it is done.
This thing happens with cubicexplorer as well.
but not with the windows explorer or explorer++

Thanks,
but that setting is turned on !
And it is also when I copy or move big files
in between the internal hard drives.
I also installed the new Beta version 9.90.0705
but still the same freeze.

Are you sure the operation is backgrounded? Is it listed in the Background Jobs window?

If there is nothing in it
after the copy job, then the job was not backgrounded.
How do you trigger the job? Drag'n 'drop? From where to where?

It is every time I copy and move a big file
so when my harddrive takes a few seconds.
it is from every hard drive to every hard drive
I have 2 hard drives, each 2 partitions.
I copy or move with the right mouse click
this is when it freezes
When I do ctrl c and ctrl v
it works perfectly in the background.
Like I would want it.
Only thing is that the copying or moving window
disappears when I clock XYplorer while copying in the background
would be nice if it would be always on top
or if there is the option to change that
Thanks for all your help

Because this forum is operated in English so if anyone else non-German has some input, they can contribute?

I don't understand yet. I need high precision info. What exactly are you doing with the mouse, where, from where, to where...

I right click with the mouse on the file I want to move or copy, hold the right click
drag to the harddrive or folder where I want to copy or move
release the right mouse click
and say move here or copy here
In this example I did it with a big video file from drive F to drive C
and it doesn't matter where I copy or move
or from where.
it is all about when I do it with the right click
and if my harddrive needs some time eith it.

OK, this operation is triggered via the Shell context menu and completely handled by the shell. I cannot intercept it and move it to the background.
I'll make a note in the Help file.

It seems you've disabled Configuration > Extended > Custom drag and drop context menu. As a result, you only get the Windows Shell-provided context menu, which bypasses XYplorer's handling of file operations.
By (re)enabling the above option, you'll get XYplorer's context menu; when you select one of its Copy/Move options, XYplorer will background and/or queue the file operation depending on your settings in Configuration > File Operations.
