I don't remember this to be that way(I may be wrong)but now when I double click on the tab bar to open a new tab,the icon for the "Save Settings" changes his color and it saying that 1 change has been maded(+1 on every new tab created by double clicking on the tab bar)
Opening new tab by using middle click or the context menu doesn't add +1 to changes, only double clicking on the tab bar
PS.I don't save my settings on exit and don't save history, tabs nor most-recently-used lists(I'm using 9.90.0004 but is the same on 9.80.0126)
Double clicking on the tab bar make change to the settings

Re: Double clicking on the tab bar make change to the settings
I cannot confirm what you describe. Whatever way I open a new tab, the icon for the "Save Settings" changes his color.
