Sort folder

Post by rpdbarros »

Hello, I wonder if it is possible to do in XYplorer, as is done in Explorer, so that when I sort a folder, for example, by increasing date, the other folders are not changed.

If this option already exists, please tell me how, if there is not, put a request for next version.

Thank you in advance

Welcome!
Yes, go to Tools>Configuration and in the section General enable "Sort folders apart".

Hello Serendipity, thanks for answering.

This option is already enabled, maybe I have not expressed myself correctly, and sorry for my english (I'm Brazilian).

I'm sending attached two images of my windows explorer to see if you understand me well.

Thanks again

Sorry, but i still did not understand what "other folders are not changed .." means. Also, in your screenshot I don't see any folders in the list.

Based on what i understood so far: Maybe uncheck "mixed sort on date columns" from Tools>Config>General?
Does that help?

Come on, the image 2 the folder is D: \ downloads \ A gravar and it is sorted by name ascending.

In the image 1 the folder is D: \ Downloads \ A avalliar and she is sorted by Date Modified ascending .

That is, each folder hold its own classification and not as in XYplorer who assumes the same rating for all folders.

I hope you understand me now.

Thanks again.

Você gostaria de ter configurações de pastas individualmente como o Windows Explorer faz, exceto que você Ferramentas > Opções de Pastas > Modo de Exibição > Aplicar a Todas as Pastas, certo?

He probably wants to preserve individual settings for each folder as WE does, unless one applies settings to all folders. Perhaps this time...

If your answer is positive, try View > Folder View Settings features.

Quoting Help File:
View Menu Commands > Folder View Settings (Submenu)

Enable Folder View Settings: Check to enable the Folder View Settings feature, i.e. make the commands available and auto-restore folder-specific view settings.

Save Folder View: Save and remember the current folder view settings. If a folder view is currently active it will be updated to the current view settings.

Edit...: Edit the active folder view.

Remove: Remove the active folder view.

Save Folder View As...: Save the current folder view settings under any folder name/pattern, without overwriting any currently active folder view.

Save Folder View As Default: Save the current folder view settings as default folder view (used for any folder with no specific folder view).

Manage Folder Views: Opens the usual List Management interface where you can see a list of all stored Folder Views. You can edit them (= change the folder match pattern), and you can delete them.
E por aí vai...
