XYplorer/PC crash and my session's tabs are lost!

XYplorer/PC crash and my session's tabs are lost! I have set XYplorer to save settings on exit but it didn't help during a crash. Can this problem be fixed by making XYplorer save tabs as they're made? So our session's tabs are restored even if XYplorer/PC crash?

BTW: I know I can manually save by clicking the "save settings" toolbar button. But it would be nicer if it was automatic.

Heartfully agree on this. Here and here I enlisted on other users' wishes for this, and for now I just want to share this suggestion on using script to backup settings as an almost daily exercise. Further on you'll find this interesting post (Stefan's) which compiles some additional info.

Another useful suggestion may be: get used to NOT saving tabs as default (even setting XY to not save on exit - Tools > Config [F9] > Startup & Exit > UNCHECK "Save settings on exit"). This way you'll be forced to SAVE what you want and have XY exactly the way you want it regardless any kind of disaster/unwanted save/data corruption due to power failures (use no breaks, guys! ). Works for me.
Also, take a look at this script to save/load tabs as session (Stefan's too) - and an interesting note about it later on.

perhaps make a setting called "automatic session recovery" for restoring tabs
