MY wish

Post by legion1978 »

first.... well i dont expect this to be done..its just how id like it to be, and we all know that we cant have it all- also i have to say this is a great application as it is now, but heres the list of things that would make it even better from my point of view.

wishlist
- extended (and easier if possible) mass rename feature (i bet this one is already on its way). the actual one is limited and not so clear for new users.

- support for zip files. copy and move into zip files should be an standard i think ,as well as extract. mmm maybe is to much to ask to treat zip files as folders (not to mention rar files). hell is that useful.

- something i like in an app is customization. not only shorcuts and commands, but its interface too. be able to move panels around and maybe save its configuration...something like that.

- this one i know you dont like: dual pane. i know this is not a dual pane file manager, but this is useful for certain operations, as with it comes some additions: file compare, duplicate finder and file sincronization.(among others). this pane could even be another option in info panels, that we could activate to perform such activities.

- the biggest change id make is the re-arrangement of the info panels/preview. as i already suggest, mr donald, i think moving these panels to the right would make it easier to preview most file types that require a lot of preview area, but without losing the sight of the file list. also, the find files filter would be more visible this way, since most of them waste a precious space to their right.

that would be it..
again, this is a remarkable program. keep your hard work.

---> it does not fit, the info panel is too wide.
