Script command to change width of a pane?

Post by Biggynuff »

Hi Don,

I was searching around and found this thead http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... dth#p40738, which discusses the idea of various positions for the pane 'splitter' (in two pane mode) when double clicking the splitter bar

Just a thought, but would it be possible to add a scripting command to locate the pane splitter anywhere the user wishes? I was thinking in quite simple terms, such as each pane being a percentage of the overal available screen space. Sounds simple to me who's not doing the programming, I know  and it may not be possible

I could imagine this being very powerful indeed for users, like me, who just love the double panes. For instance, I've set up a user button with some simple scripts to open various tabs, focus on the ones I want, reset search filters etc. With a single click, I can re configure XY to the set up I use for working with images, working with music files, doing University work etc etc. The only thing I'm not able to do is automatically adjust the panel width

Anyone any ideas or thoughts :?

Biggy

...and the ability to read the current position?
(Helpful to "create" a "Swap"-command  )
