Recycle Bin - Looking inside folders

Post by aurumdigitus »

4. You can open (Enter, Dbl-Click) a deleted folder to browse its contents.
For the first time since using xy have had occasion to look inside deleted folders. But every time this is attempted instead of going into the folder the program jumps to the E:\ drive.

Intuition tells me this is caused by a setting somewhere but have no idea what it would be or where to look.

Thanks for any insight that could be shed on this behavior.

You probably are on Maxi Tree and opted to hide SYSTEM and/or HIDDEN items. The bug is that you should get notified about this problem when you try to access a SYSTEM/HIDDEN item (and the real (not the virtual) recycler is SYSTEM and HIDDEN). Fixed in next version.

In the meantime: either use MiniTree or show SYSTEM and HIDDEN items. :)

Yeah, that was it! Felt in my bones it was something arcane like that.

Don, while you help here is greatly appreciated those batteries are going to be a long time in the charger if you keep reading all these posts.

I'm in the process of disconnecting... I admit it's not easy... :)

Being somewhat lazy - and forgetful - have just added the thoughtfully provided Show Hidden Items and Show System Items buttons to the Toolbar.
