It seems the context menu option "Hide Folder from Mini Tree" is not consistently available.
For regular folders and drives, it's in the Expansion submenu, while for special folders like Network Places it's in the top level context menu.
For portable drives that are no longer present (like an USB drive that has been removed again), there is no context-menu at all, and I have to use Tools->List Management->Mini Tree... to remove it.
Given that you are not planning to add any method to remove temporary or specified folders automatically, could we have the "Hide Folder from Mini Tree" in the top level menu for all folders in the Mini Tree to make it easier to prune it?

Re: Context menu in Mini Tree
The command is also available in the main menu (view / mini tree / hide current folder), so you can select the folder and then hide it.
But I also just added the context menu for those nodes.
