Yes, but that's not what I'm wanting to do. I'm trying to clear the list.

Just curious: what would be the advantage to you of deleting jobs versus hiding completed and skipped jobs? In terms of overview it seems the same to me.

It was more just a case of me being curious as to whether it was possible. I'd looked in the places where other lists are cleared and didn't see it there. So maybe the only advantage would be so that it's consistent with what can be done with other lists.

The difference between the other lists you mention and the list of backgrounded jobs is persistence: the backgrounded jobs list is lost when XYplorer is closed, unlike the other lists.

Another possible advantage would be so that I could periodically clear the list, and then when I wanted to view a bit of history of what I'd done over the last few days, I could unhide the completed jobs and see an uncluttered list of just the time period since the last clear.

That's what the Action Log (Edit > Action Log) is for. In Configuration > Undo & Action Log you can set the Action Log to be persisted between sessions as well as the number of operations to be logged.
