Best way to upgrade XYplorer portable + keep settings?

Anyone know what is the best way to upgrade XYplorer portable while keeping settings? I want to upgrade from 8.90 portable to 9.0 portable. Should I extract the 9.0 portable over my 8.90 portable files? Or should I copy my 8.90 portable "data" folder over to my 9.0 portable? Any advice? Thanks.

Yes, thats the best way. Backup 8.90 however.
