Allow accessing hidden files/folders even while hidden?

How about allow accessing hidden files/folders even while they're hidden? So that our favorites and address bar can access hidden files/folders without having to toggle it to show. This is similar to how Windows Explorer works.

Example on Windows 7:
In Windows Explorer, this folder is hidden. But if we know the address, we can still access it without having to toggle it to show...
C:\Users\NAME\AppData\

Not possible here.
