FTP Capability
A bit ago I suggested the addition of ZIP archive capability. Another suggestion would be an FTP client. I have found this a very useful addition to the old PowerDesk Pro that is no longer current.

Re: FTP Capability
Hi and welcome to the XY forums!
Having said that, it seems you posssibly didn't search before creating this thread as looking for "FTP" finds this has been discussed many times before...
A very quick search led me to a similar thread here
http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=4290
I would suggest you do some looking around in the forums as there have been some scripts written here that help in this area...such as the one in http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=4299 and http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=7&t=2970
If you need help with these, I'm not the one to ask as I don't write scripts but others who have written some great scripts frequent these forums very often.

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

Re: FTP Capability
Thank you for your reply and your valid critique! Yes, I'll take a look around. I think I need to learn more about the scripting capabilities of this utility.

Re: FTP Capability
I won't claim that it's the perfect solution to every problem...however, using it can extend XY's abilities into some areas (such as FTP & Zip, for ex) that are best handled (we believe) by dedicated external utilities and as Don doesn't use the plug-in scheme, scripting can often interface to create as a substitute.Harris2508 wrote: I think I need to learn more about the scripting capabilities of this utility.
