Windows XP SVN, Tortoise overlays not working,

I have read through all the posts and followed the links so this is still a problem.

I cannot see overlays for Tortoise SVN 1.6.5, and 1.6.7. I have tried setting various options in Tortoise to display drives and so on but no luck. I can see the overlays in XYplorer for Vista 64 (I installed the 32 bit version as well), and in XP if I use Windows Explorer but not in XYplorer. Maybe I am missing a setting but I have looked through all the posts and tried all the options I can think of in both XYplorer and Tortoise. I can get by with using Windows Explorer but would like to get this working correctly if possible. Thanks.

Asking the obvious since did not mention it: i guess you have checked the "Show icon overlays" in Configuration>Advanced. If it still it does not work, i guess those who use overlays might be able to help you.
