Use system modified icons?

Post by elclanrs »

I used Icontweaker to change my XP icons to something more pleasing. I used a OSX them with blue folders.
XYplorer shows default windows icons, the yellow ugly ones... How can I see the blue folders instead?

Before XYplorer I used xplorer2 and it worked ok...

I don't think so... I'm using 8.80.0014 30 days evaluation.

The wierd thing is that the icons I customized with "Rainbowfolders" are shown ok.

Screenshot:

The green folders are customized with "Rainbowfolders". But the yellow folders must be blue like this one:

Where can I get an updated beta version?

8.80.0014 should be good enough.

Do you see the blue folder icons in the file list, or also just the yellow ones?

What do you mean by "I used a OSX them with blue folders."

List folder icon is yellow too.

I mean I'm using a windows xp icon theme.
I used IconTweaker to change the icons. Almost all icons are changed icluding the drive icons, folder icons, zip, rar...

Windows explorer shows blue folders but XYplorer doesn't.

Not a big problem, just was curious.

Don't know what's up with those folder icons. They must use a very different method from the standard. I think I know every method in the world to get the correct system icon for any item -- well I thought I knew... :|

If you want to try it yourself you can get IconTweaker from here

http://www.crystalxp.net/galerie/en.id. ... -tools.htm

And then use this theme:

I think IconTweaker changes the *.ico images in shell32.dll...

Rainbow folders puts a desktop.ini file within each folder it colours and also the coloured icon. eg

Code: Select all

[Rainbow Folders]
WersjaWieksza=2
WersjaMniejsza=5
H=80
S=200
[.ShellClassInfo]
IconIndex=0
IconFile=RF08062009095748078789348.ico
ConfirmFileOp=0
InfoTip=
dont know how that other prog works
Why doesn't everybody have a great user name like mine?
