Add permanent startup path option for both panes?

How about add a permanent startup path option for both panes? Would also be useful to be able to choose which pane is active by default.

Activate pane at startup: 1 [ x ]   2 [   ]

- save settings
- unset "Save settings on exit"

i would like to be able to keep "save settings on exit". so if the option was added, that would be possible.

for now, i'll use your tip as the current workaround, thanks.

If I understand right you don't want to keep current settings (like tabs etc), but want to keep the option "save settings on exit"?

basically yes i dont want to keep any extra tabs from the session, but still save on exit.

i want to have xyplorer start up and default to my 2 panes and 2 preferred folders. i want to be able to do this while still having "save settings on exit". but with the current workaround, i am required to turn off "save settings on exit"--which is not my preference.
