Do you think the prof license is too expensive?
If you don't share your money at least share your feelings...
I'm glad you brought this up because I would love to support you (Tracker is a very good app) and I would also like to be able to use it at work, but to me $51 USD is a bit high. If I could get a professional license for $30 USD (or less
), which I think is about 25 Euro, I would get one...my wife could get me a license for Christmas!

Well, I voted for 25euros cause I think US$25/30 is a price you found for a lot of soft, cause it seems a good deal overall. While 30 might still be good, 40 might sound a bit expensive I guess....
I'm not sure, but I think that maybe it could also encourage donations a bit if donors would get a little something, even just like their name in the About box or something.
On another note, since TV3 is "a power user's delight" (-ZDNet) and made for such, maybe you could have a more "extended" volume discount table, cause right now you've only got 2 prices, one up to 9 computers, one for more.

Thanks. I actually had an extended pricing like this some years ago but I found it was never used so I simplified it.jacky wrote:I don't know, here's something made up based on what I've seen for other soft:admin wrote:What pricings do you suggest then?
1 = 30€
2-9 = 25€ each
10-24 = 18€ each
25-49 = 15€ each
50-99 = 12€ each
100-199 = 9€ each
200-499 = 7€ each
500-999 = 6€ each
I don't get your reasoning: do you think power users typically come in large groups? Or are they especially keen of discount prices?

Hi there,
Dropping in this thread with my first post on this forum.
First: TrackerV3 is great and is has a nice place on my Dutch freeware site. Just uploaded the update page with the new trackerV3 version.
I voted €25,00. It's a price that, i think, most people will (can) spend on good software. It's a nice ballance between to cheap but more buyers and to expencive and less buyers.
One thing i like to add: i own (bought) some licenses (e.g. Winrar, Outpost, GetRight etc.). Not only because the price was right but also because the lifetime licenses, including updates. I do want to pay for good software (even with all the freeware around and i test a lot for my site), but only once.
And i know a lot of people like that, i hear it around me.
Maybe the licenses are allready lifetime licenses, but it's not clearly sayd on your site. So, if it's allready lifetime, make it more clear and if not, well, it's a good thought to make the licenses lifetime

Software: should we be aware because it's soft ? I like to think not !

Hi, and yes, they already are lifetime since day one, but I will make it more clear, thanks!CyGho wrote:Maybe the licenses are allready lifetime licenses, but it's not clearly sayd on your site. I think the reasoning behind this is to encourage companies to not buy 2 or 3 licenses for the ones that REALLY want something but for the whole staff while they're at it. I'm just not sure XYplorer is something that qualifies for that since most 'normal' users would just be confused by all the abilities that make it so perfect for power users.admin wrote:I don't get your reasoning: do you think power users typically come in large groups? I try to keep the interface as uncluttered as possible. But I am maybe the last person who should judge the user-friendlyness of the app since I'm looking at this animal since years almost every day... from the outside and from the inside, so I'm kind of a superpower-userCreat wrote:I'm just not sure XYplorer is something that qualifies for that since most 'normal' users would just be confused by all the abilities that make it so perfect for power users.
So, I'm grateful for any tips with regard to optimization of user-friendlyness... and be it only power-user-friendlyness
