clicking on a catalog entry (dir) and focus

Post by carmenm »

Hi,

Just found out something that bugs me a little. When i click on an catalog entry which is a directory. It opens the dir but the focus remains on the catalog.
I am used to enter a dir and then start typing the first letters of the file i am looking for. But this wont work after using the catalog. I first need to give the focus back to the main panel.

SO i was wondering if it wouldnt be a bad idea to give the focus to the main panel after selecting a catalog entry?

Thanks

Hi there,
I'm interested in this tweak as well, but can't seem to be able to open the link.

Could someone write down the steps required, please?

Thanks in advance!

Enter:
goto "<xydata>\XYplorer.ini";
in the address bar. Hit enter.

Use a texteditor to open the selected XYplorer.ini file.
Quit XYplorer.

Search for the line:
SetFocusToListAfterCatalog=0

Change the 0 to 1 and save the file.

Start XY...

Use a texteditor to open the selected XYplorer.ini file.
For that part I usually simply click menu Tools | Open Configuration File... :)
