An adition to the "to clidpboard menu"

Post by carmenm »

Hi,

Often at my work i am asked to give in a mail the layout of a directory.
SOmething like :

Dir A:
---- filea.exe
---- fileb.exe
---- Dir B:
--------- filec.pdf

It s quite a pain in the ... to write everytime. Xyplorer already have feature to copy selected files to clipboard but it is not recursive and has no "layout"

So maybe that could be a great little feature for XY, what do you think?

It's already there on the Report Tab / Current Folder / Tree structure only.

Not really, I believe carmenm is asking for files to be included on the report, and "Tree structure only" obviously does not include files, but only folders.

Including all files & folders in a report or simple Copy Path operation is simple: simply go in the folder, and first do Ctrl+F3 (Show All Items in Branch), and then copy the items' path/names from the search results. As for having a layout, I don't think XY can do that, though it might be possible using scripting...

Hi,
is it possible to create a report containing only the list of filenames(& ext) or "path & filenames", instead of all the other things (Ext/Size/Date..)?

uhh didn't recognize that.
is it also possible to change the numbering sort order?

e.g. Excel sorts like 1, 10, 101, 11, 2, 21, 212

currently XY sorts like: 1, 2, 11, 21, 101, 212

I bet there's sth for that, but I don't find it..sth like "Name Column Format"
