How to stop XYPlorer from always searching

Post by fedup »

How does one prevent XYPlorer from always restarting searching for files everytime that I go back to a pane where I initially did a search to find large files to move over to another partition?

I thought that you've been around here long enough to know (I hope  ) that this isn't currently possible but will be with "Search Results Caching" as most recently discussed in

but also a bit ago in

Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

:)

Thanks J5. Just thought in case there was a workaround. I searched for certain sized files today and I could not get XYPlorer to stop searching even after apparently removing the search text.

BTW, what I use to find big files that I need to deal with (at least to locate them initially) is JDiskReport at http://www.jgoodies.com/freeware/jdiskreport/
