Dual Pain ?

I just want to confirm for all the dual pane haters out there that XY will continue to accomodate Single pane useage.

The only reason I ask is that there have already been a number of (minor) changes to the interface to accomodate dual pane - toolbar placement, full height tree etc. none of which have any direct effect on me (I actually prefer the full height tree, but I know the toolbar placement has affected some users).

And before people start looking at me with daggers, I know many users swear by dual pane, it's just not something I would use, but I certainly don't begrudge XY changing to accomodate this (and obviously Don is putting in a LOT of work to achieve this for you).

So the real question is will XY continue to be a single pane (tabbed) environment with dual pane usage optional (with MINOR changes to the UI to accomodate where neccessary)
