Twitter question: What can be the reason that a tweet is correctly shown in my profile, but not listed in search results when I search for it? I twittered something using the word Fudoku, but http://twitter.com/#!/search/Fudoku yields no results. :?

I don't see Fudoku mentioned at https://twitter.com/#!/XYplorer. No idea why, unfortunately, other than that its fail whale comes in smaller sizes as well.

Agree w/nas8e9...the last tweet I see is about the Access Control status bar.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!

I used another account for it: https://twitter.com/#!/Fudoku
Maybe it's not showing because it's in German?

I've found the account and the tweet, but search still doesn't return either the tweet with Fudoku or even the account named Fudoku.

Twitter's advanced search options don't have a setting for language that I can see.

At this point, I'd basically wait 24 hours and see if it comes through.

May I suggest that you use #XYplorer hashtag when tweeting?

What would be gained by this?

I don't see any for our situation as hashtags are more typical for items that have or may have wide popularity on Twitter and XY doesn't...

I would, however, suggest keeping the 'Release' tweets more similar to the ones I used to do with a very condensed summary of what chgs are in that vers.

You can add a hashtag to whatever word you want. The more people use a particular hashtag, the trendier it becomes. So, on the promotion page -- http://www.xyplorer.com/promote.htm -- there can be a section asking users to tweet using that hashtag. That way, simply clicking on it will show what people are saying about XYplorer.

Just to update that searches for both XYplorer and Fudoku are returning the desired results. Another reason for using both terms as hashtags is the convenience of 1-click search when whacking them with an LMB.

OK, my eyes must have deceived me (had no coffee at that point). XYplorer shows up though. Also worth noting that...
If some of your Tweets or hashtags are not appearing in search:

If only some of your Tweets appear, or if you're missing a few tweets, don't fret – we're working to get as many Tweets into Twitter Search as possible.
Due to resource constraints, not every Tweet can be indexed in Twitter Search.
Our engineers are always working to index more updates, but we can't force individual, missing Tweets into search.
Rest assured that your followers will still see all your updates and @mentions, and we'll update on this page as we improve this issue.

Don, would you mind using #XYplorer hashtag when tweeting? It makes finding other tweets mentioning XYplorer a 1-click affair.
