Active tab color and Search not refreshing

Post by fedup »

Using XP SP3 and XP theme and would like to be able to clearly differentiate the current tab via say colorizing it so that it stands out clearly. Several times I have caught myself before deleting files from the wrong folder. As well when having a search performed and the results displayed in the search results tab is there any way of being able to click to another tab and then back again to the search results tab with out the search suspending or restarting from scratch? Does this have something to do with auto refresh setting?

Hi!
You can color the tabs if you use XY classic theme.
First choose "XYplorer classic" visual style from "Tabs" section under Tools>Configuration.
Next, in section "Interface Colors" under tab headers change the "background color".

Regarding search, no its not the refresh setting. As of now the search restarts everytime you switch to another tab and come back. There have been numerous requests like yours and admin plans to implement a feature called "Search Results Caching" which will save your searches and wont start the re-searching.
Note that if you are searching the same folder over and over then the searches are much faster that the first search.
