View 1st image (jpg) in zip/rar/cbz/cbr file -thumbnail mode

Post by AceNubian »

Hello.

Need help configuring XYplorer thumbnails to work similarly to Windows Explorer. I have some zip / rar files which contain multiple jpgs. Many of these extensions have been renamed to cbz, cbr (jpgs are viewed in a comic book viewer program using these extensions).

Question: How can I configure XYplorer thumbnails to show the first image in the zip/rar/cbz/cbr files? In Windows Explorer, when I select thumbnails, the first image in the file is the thumbnail (in this case the cover of the book).

Any help would be appreciated. However, please be advised I am a not technically savvy when it comes XYplorer. So, be as descriptive as possible.

Thanks! Take care.

Hi and Welcome to XYplorer,
At this time it is not possible to view any image from outside the zip/rar or other files in XYplorer. Infact, even with folders this is not possible. There have been some requests to implement this feature and hoping (as i miss it too) it will be implemented someday. Also, at this time the author is on a break for working with Dual pane feature so you should check or remind the author after Dual pane has been published.
