Quick File View: Nbr lines in header info?

Post by j_c_hallgren »

Situation: I had a text file selected and was on the Properties Tab in Info Panel, and used QFV to look at contents instead of Preview or Raw View...fine...the panel heading has the nbr of bytes but doesn't have the nbr of ASCII lines that is available via Raw View...so could this piece of info be added to QFV header so that once would be able to tell better the "user" size of file? 43KB doesn't but 885 lines does.
Still spending WAY TOO much time here! But it's such a pleasure helping XY be a treasure!
(XP on laptop with touchpad and thus NO mouse!) Using latest beta vers when possible.

agree somewhat , but instead of just telling how many lines maybe you can also put line numbers on the left side also.
(ie)
(unselectable) line colume | normal text (than can be selected)
1 text
2 text
3 text
Untitled.jpg

also maybe something like format /(dos/unix / mac ..etc) and encoding (utf-8 ..etc), filesize / bytes selected
Untitled2.jpg

I added some basic info. Anything above that I leave to the editors. They need to live as well.
