A Few Suggestions if I May...

Not a ninja with it, but I love XYplorer SOO much! I'm just getting deeper into it, as far as using it on a regular goes. Here are some basic thoughts for adding to it that would make it just that much better.
I understand that some of these things may be already featured in the prog, so forgive my ignorance of the forementioned features if that is the case. And let me know how to access the features if they do exist. Thanks.

1) Undo/Redo command? like CTRL-Z in explorer
2) Integrate XYplorer into shell .. as in dump the regular Explorer entirely.
3) A Feature rich dialogue interface of its own, like when you are prompted to browse for an item.
4) An option to make the icons bigger, maybe even another tier of tools to add optionally.
5) Add .cur extension preview
6) Make it so that when editing a script or what not in a XYplorer window, that one may still use XYplorer in the background. (Editing dialogue box takes focus on top of XYplorer, which is frozen in the background.)
7) Multiple catalogs(?) that would be cool to be able to toggle between several entire catalogs.

Thats all i can think of at the moment.. Im not complaining btw. these suggestions (except the undo/redo) imho would just make this superb app just that much more uber!

Hi and welcome to the XY forums!

Having said that, I'll please respectfully ask that you first do some reading of the various resources available, such as the wiki, and these forums.

I don't have time to address all your points right now, but I will say in answer to point #1: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic.php?f=5&t=830 (Where 'undo' is on the list) and point #2 is covered in the wiki.

Also, a suggestion for you: A very first post giving a list such as this is typically not the ideal way to introduce yourself to a software forum, especially when it's somewhat obvious that you've not fully researched some documentaion...You say you love XY but unfortunately your list tends to give another impression, ok? We want new users to be happy here but we also like them to get some background before asking for a set of items.

Hello.. Point very well taken. My apologies.. I was just casually browsing through and posted that spontaneously as i was just in the throes of playing with XYplorer.

Ahem.. I will repeat, point very well taken.. Not a great way to introduce ones self. I'm not a very active forum poster anywhere really so it was just impassing. I do love this damn app more and more every time i use it. Wish i had more time and concentration to really get cerebral with all the functions and stuff.

Thank you for addressing those issue. and those suggestions were completely placed thoughtlessly of tact, for the intentions of posting them was one of friendly posture and truly, just some thoughts from a non-expert, ignorant end-user, not a critique or some such thing..

Brilliant app. I dont know why u dont just sell the whole package to microsoft so they make it the new explorer, and retire to a ridiculously coconut island paradise surrounded by beautiful nude sex slave bodyguards armed with AK-47s, sipping honey mead from a parasol-shielded crystal goblet while tanning on your private beach served by monkey butlers and circus acrobats until you OD on the pills that keep you in permanent cyclic ecstasy and peace with god. (bill could do that you know. but he's a dork with no imagination:) )

Just so you know: I try my best to be welcoming to new menbers/users here but as you can guess, at times it can be a bit of a challenge...in that, we've seen many times over the years (at least since I started) where a first post asks (or worse demands! ) for a number of items that require a fair amount of research/time to answer and/or which seems like a challenge from a user/supporter of a competing product....spend some time here and you'll see what I mean, ok?

No problem, but I would skip the "circus acrobats" -- rather replace them by a couple of backup sex slaves...

PS: There is *.cur preview!
