2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

Custom File Icons

Post by Daniel0312 »

hi !

CFI doesn't seem to work for extension length > 4 characters (ok for ".1234", not for ".12345")

thanks

I just tried again with latest XY 32 and 64 bits : in the CFI definition dialog, the icon shows OK
in list view not, i just get a blank icon.

testfile.12345 and CFI set to 12345>test.ico » blank icon
testfile.12345 renamed to testfile.1234 and CFI set to 1234>test.ico » icon ok as soon as I validate the dialog !

CFA works fine though

In CFI it goes like this: *.12345>test.ico

I'll check why 1234>test.ico works nevertheless....
okay, that's to do with internal XY icon caching.

 sorry I asked !

anyway it made me see nearly every CFI I have was set up without the "*.", and they all worked !

thanks for taking the time.
