This is what the preview looks like when you hover over a text file in Cirillic (Windows 1251) encoding:
XYPlorer 28.10.0503 (64-bit)
Windows 10 21H2 19044.1320

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".

Check your ANSI Code Page shown in Help | Various Information. It's probably not 1251.
But you can tweak the default code page to be CP_WINDOWS1251:

Re: x64: Preview encoding
'TextPreviewCodePage=1251' - It worked for the file mentioned above, but it broke the encoding for most of the others (including some UTF-8).

Does the preview on the Preview Tab (Info Panel - F12) work?
