Can't delete files. .NET error

I just got started with this, and my version is 27.20.0700, windows 11.
I open a path and try to delete a file, and it won't delete. I highlight and press delete, nothing. I right click and press delete, nothing.
I open and close the app, it lets me delete 1 single file. No additional files.

Closed and reopened again, and I get a message that says "Microsoft .NET Framework Unhandled exception has occurred ina component in your application. If you click Continue, the application will ignore this error and attempt to continue. Input string was not in a correct format."

Can someone please tell me how to make this app work? Thanks

What type of file is it?
What's the full path to the file?
What application?

It's happening on all files. Not just deleting but opening.
I'm not sure what you mean by what application. XYplorer?
I want to try reinstalling. Should I remove the existing one first, then reinstall from scratch?
