When using Custom Move on say a selection of 50 files there may be 10 files that I skip. I need the selection with a checkmark in the small box to remain.
At best this is inconsistent. Is there a setting that I am missing for this?
As a rule additional work is needed on Skip files that my memory alone can not handle. :-)
How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?

Re: How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?
In Custom Copy Configuration, enable "Keep progress dialog open" and "Show summary report", OR only the later one = then you'll have dialog auto-closing but remaining for few seconds if you decide to open Report.
For pity there is no option to configure like "Auto-open Report Only when there are Skips" or "..when there are Failed", though i would like to see that too.

Re: How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?
Thanks for the reply,
I entered the items you mentioned - I now have the attached settings.
I tested with Overwrite, Increment, and Skip. A couple of times I got the Skip only - as we want it. I'm short on time, but conclude that something random is going on.
I hope that Don can see what is going on and make a small change.

Re: How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?
I finally got some time to do some more testing with the two additional checkmarks in settings. About four times on different data sets of about 10 items each. They all failed to keep the check marks for skip items.
Any suggestions - anyone?

Re: How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?
"Skip Junctions" and "Skip verification on local hard disks" have nothing to do with the Skip command in the Name Collision prompt.
Could you please explain again what you want or where you see a bug?

Any of the jpg files that I "skip" will need further work. This could be a deletion, a rename, or simply ignore.
It would be most helpful if these 'skip' files have the selection check mark.
Memory is generally not enough.. Writing down the file names is super boring.
I think you would want to assist with this in order to maintain the high standing of XY.
When I say latest version, this means 'the official version' which has been 32 bit so far.

Re: How to save the selection of all "Skip" files?
That's not possible. The skipped files could be spread over multiple directories. There is no way to save such a selection pattern.
What you still could do:
- show the report for skipped files
- copy the list to some editor
- cut the "Skip " prefix from each line
- use that list Edit | Select | Select Items...

So it is not just a feature sitting there and waiting to be used. Thanks
