No previews for video or audio

Surely one of my files is compatible. No codec or container I have seems to do more than offer a Thumbnail.

Probably a setting I don't understand somewhere. Is there guidance on this?

Also automated *.webp appears only static in preview (animated gifs are good though).

Are audio files previewable? Mine are not.

Appreciate any help.
