I don't know how to word that correctly so I had trouble finding any solution to this in the forum.
When I move a folder from any given directory, lets say W:/Completed to W:/FILED, xyplorer moves the directory tree to the W:/FILED folder instead of keeping it in the W:/Completed folder.
How do I get the directory tree to keep focus in the directory that I had moved the folder from?
I asked AI but their suggestions didn't work; here is what they said anyway:
I asked "in xyplorer, when I move a folder, it puts me back at the top of the folder list. How can I get the folder list to NOT move"
AI responded with:
That sounds frustrating—XYplorer is usually great about customization, so let’s try to fix that.
What you’re describing is likely tied to how XYplorer refreshes the folder view after a move operation. To keep your scroll position after moving a folder, try this:
Go to Tools > Configuration (or press F9).
In the Configuration window, navigate to General > Refresh, Icons, History.
Look for an option like “Auto-Scroll List” or “Keep position on refresh”—the exact wording may vary depending on your version.
Make sure “Keep position on refresh” is checked. This tells XYplorer not to jump to the top after changes.
If that doesn’t help, also check under General > Tree and List for any settings related to auto-scrolling or focus behavior.
