HEIC Previews aren't working
In photo directory preview mode .HEIC photos won't preview or preview in the Floating Preview popup. I tried several of the other post recommendations and none work...what's the fix?

Windows Explorer shows the preview? If yes, show a screenshot of the WE window...

No... and this is a Windows 11 Pro machine with latest version of XYplorer

In that case: Without an installed preview handler that works in WE you won't get a preview in XY either

Open the Microsoft Store app on your computer.
Search for "HEIF Image Extensions" and install it.
Windows 11 Home, Version 25H2 (OS Build 26200.7171)

Might also try Icaros, which uses ffmpeg to generate thumbnails. Can even be run portably with admin rights.
