Use master environment when opening a CMD window

When XY is open, and I change, Computer (right click) Properties -> Advanced system settings, the path, and subsequently open a command window in XY, it still uses the old path. It would be nice if it could actually use the master environment to open a new command window. (Or is this a "If only pigs could fly" feature request?)
