seltab does not always update address bar with location of selected tab

Running seltab n from either a script or the Go to dialog (e.g. ::seltab 12) selects the correct tab but does not update the address bar location. When running the command from either Scripting | Run script... or Scripting | Try script... menu, the address bar is updated.

Sorry, I didn't think carefully enough about what I was running and from where.

I have an alias to load a script file (sdt=::load "common\selectdownloadstab"). Running either the alias or the command itself from the Go to dialog selects the appropriate tab but does not update the address bar, so that is the same use case as my other example.

Did you try v26.60.0301? It should be fixed for the Go to dialog. It won't happen if you trigger it from the address bar itself, as it's not a pleasant experience to have the address bar change itself.
