Hello
I think that in floating mode the click middle button should not close the image but go to the next one.
Press the centre button as next file

Agreed! Unload on Middle-Click was added on 20120610, but it's unclear why. The next beta will use Middle-Click for next file, and Shift+Middle-Click for previous file.

Re: Press the centre button as next file
Related to floating preview and info panel
Other ideas and improvements
1: When you are in floating preview mode and you move forward or backward between files and then close the window, the preview is not shown in the info pane, so you have to update the preview in the info pane.
2: You could also incorporate navigation similar to the floating preview in the info pane, i.e. accept the Middle-Click as navigation back and forth between files.
3: When the bottom or top stop is reached in the info pane, display a message with no previous or next files, and ask if you want to reverse the navigation direction, i.e. Middle-Click to go backwards, in order not to use the Shift key.
4: In the info panel add two buttons near the [∨] to adjust the width of the preview and another button to expand the info panel upwards where only two lines of the file list can be seen.

Re: Press the centre button as next file
Can we please get an option/tweak for this?
1. Floating preview already has left=prev/right=next zones for left-click, so i find middle-click convenient as a Close function.
2. Surely it's just me, but i never met an image viewer that used middle-click as "next image", while i know quite a lot of apps that use middle-click for open/close, say tabs in browsers.(so it became an expected behaviour)
I actually have middle-click on file to open Floating preview, so same for Close is expected.(i just don't upgrade right away so didn't notice the new inconvenience sooner)

Re: Press the centre button as next file
Makes sense. Next beta:
Code: Select all
* Floating and Full Screen Preview: The recently added middle-click functions now only
work if "Navigate by Click" is off. Otherwise the middle-click closes the preview.
