Issue with missing Permissions list items

Post by Krammig »

Trying to alter permissions on various files and folder using XYPlorer.

There are many missing items in the list of Permissions, for example IIS_IUSRS and so on. " Properties > Security > Edit > Add etc etc

However if I try using Explorer, everything is there as it should be and works fine.

I think this issue has popped up since upgrading (reluctantly) to Windows 10.

Example image follow, would appreciate any thoughts. Thanks.

Can't reproduce, neither on Windows 10, Server 2022, all users & groups are there

Your folder column isn't populated on your system, those items are missing...

Thanks for the reply.

Yes correct, but isn't that the point ? Something is wrong. XYplorer is not showing what is being show by Explorer, on the same machine, same folder.

Try Properties from the 64-bit menu: Configuration | Other | Shell Integration | 64-bit Windows | Show the 64-bit context menu

Excellent @admin, that did the trick, Thank you

Should this option be on by default perhaps ?

Cheers

The 32-bit menu can show custom items at the top (Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Context Menus | Custom items in the context menu), that's an advantage. And you can quickly show the 64-bit menu from the 32-bit menu by clicking Show 64-bit Context Menu.
