Zombie Visual Filter [RESOLVED]

Post by JLoftus »

I've tried searching for any posts on this, but with 700+ results for "visual" and 1300+ results for "filter", I was not able to find anything like this.

I had a Visual Filter that was "Jerry*" (without quotes), which I was using in a folder, "F:\FLAC". That Visual Filter was deleted.

I have a reproducible bug, whereby when I open a tab to F:\FLAC, then move into a subfolder, when I try to either go "up" or "back", the Zombie Visual Filter is applied.

I cannot for the life of me figure out where it is resurrecting from. When I grep my XY folder, I find "LastVisualFilter=Jerry*", so I have tried removing that, I have tried setting it to "LastVisualFilter="", I have tried setting it to LastVisualFilter= and I have even tried setting it to LastVisualFilter="GARBAGE".

I then open XY and repeat the steps, and SOB there is the Jerry* filter again. Where the HELL is it coming from???

This is only happening in the folder F:\FLAC, where I originally applied Jerry, I can't reproduce it anywhere else, but I am in that folder very often, and I use Up/Back constantly, and now I am plagued by Zombie Jerry.

I've ensured the Visual Filter and Global Visual Filter lists are empty.
I've tried creating a new tabset.
I've tried left pane, right pane...
I've tried rubbing my belly and patting my head whilst chanting "Rumplestiltskin" yet Zombie Jerry keeps returning!

Please help me kill Zombie Jerry!
