:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Cannot preview PDF files

Post by gviso »

I have 3 computers with XYPLorer. All have Foxit PDF reader installed. On one of the computers, I get a "Cannot preview" message when I hover over a PDF file. The same file displays perfectly on the 2 other computers. I have uninstalled and reinstalled both XYplorer and FOxit on the offending computer but that did not fix it.

Any ideas on how I can further troubleshoot this?

This has been discussed many, many times here, so search the forum should always be your first step in trouble-shooting.

I had the same issue as you and resolved it by (reluctantly) dumping FoxIt and using PDF-XChange Editor. I understand the free version also works. Search the forum.

If the 3 computers have the same system and system settings, the same XYplorer and XYplorer settings, and the same Foxit and Foxit settings, it would be interesting to know what is causing the different behavior in one of the systems.
