XYplorer Beta Club

Periodically I try to switch to XYplorer but it won't open. This shows a preview of it already open, but then I click on it and it doesn't switch to it. I just go back to whatever application I'm on. Does anyone know how to fix this?

Yep. Usual bug. I found 2 ways :

- reboot, or
- close user session and relog

What is a user session, where can I find more information about it cause I couldn't find it online?
How do I close it and re login?

With Windows 11 : right click on windows symbol (bottom left of screeen), choose "stop or disconnect" then disconnect.

Just to make sure: this is a Windows bug, not an XYplorer bug.

After the last update portable XYplorer does not open. There is no error message. I am using Windows 11 24H2 - 26120.1350 build.

Nothing has changed that could cause this.

Check if it is minimized to the system tray.

xyplorer_26.30.0103_beta_noinstall version opened and ran successfully.

If it's a windows error not an XYplorer error then how come it only happens with this program and every other program doesn't have this bug? This keeps happening where I can't open it and it's frustrating.

It's clearly a Windows bug. But then again, it's one of those things that might just disappear with the new 64-bit edition. It will make a number of things easier for the buggy Win 10/11.

Even though it's a Windows error is it possible to fix this?
I still be this issue and I'm on Version 26.90.0100, 64bit no install.

The x64 version currently is at 27.90.0009
There is no such issue here.
The portable version always starts without problem.
Btw. also for me, the latest 32bit version never had such a problem to startup.

Interesting, why wouldn't mine automatically update? How do I get it to do that automatically instead of manually updating it?

Also how do I know if it's 32 or 64 bit? I'm getting conflicting info where task manager says 32 but the files say 64, why is that?

By using "Jump to Setting..." and type "update"?

There is no conflicting info. The taskmanager tells the truth and all ...64.exe files are not XY itself but helper applications for the 32-bit XY^^

Current versions have <xybitness> and Menu - Help - About...
