How do I select multiple folders

How do I select multiple folders in order to cut/copy/paste them? Holding CTRL or SHIFT doesn't perform this action as in normal windows file management

In the list, holding CTRL or SHIFT works fine, but in the tree, you can only select one folder at a time.
