Catalog Scroll Bar Freezes

I have version 25.40.0400 and for the first time ever the Catalog Scroll Bar will cause a "not responding" for XYplorer. This lasts for about 30 seconds to 1 minute and eventually unfreezes itself and it works. First time I had this problem. I already closed and opened the application a number of times and I have rebooted the computer a couple of times but it is still happening.

The Catalog is divided in 6 sections and no major changes of late i.e. no significant additions of Items to the catalog.

Any idea what may cause this?

Make a backup of your catalog.dat and remove category after category until it doesn't freeze anymore.
Quit XY, replace it with the backup file, start XY, use the category where it froze, remove entry by entry...

In the catalog, icons are retrieved the first time they are displayed. So if scrolling freezes, wait until it finally happens, and the culprit should be the item that just scrolled into view. I bet it's pointing to an unavailable network location.

I have removed some items with broken links . It seems to have handled so far.

I will update in case it happens again but so far so good.
