1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Show 'Tab List' button unchecked does not allow focused tabs

Post by I♥Samus »

Hello,
First off, I've been using XYplorer for quite some time and I absolutely love it! Thank you for your time and effort in creating and maintaining this wonderful program.

I was doing a little more of a deep dive into the Configuration settings recently to further customize my user experience and productivity, when I came across a little setting: Configuration | Tabs | Show 'Tab List' button. This provides the little dropdown arrow in the tabs line which allows you to see and select a list of tabs currently displayed in your tab set. When I found this setting, I realized I don't need it as it's redundant in my opinion, so I turned it off. But with this setting turned off, the tabs line no longer shifts over to focus on a tab being navigated to at or near the end of my tab set, and hinders being able to navigate to any tabs which exist past XYplorer's border. I would have to lower the tab width number or drag out the program's border just to see those last tabs.

Expectation: The tabs should shift over to focus on any tabs at the ends of my tab sets regardless of whether this option is checked or not. But if I am misunderstanding any intentional reason for the shifting/focusing to be disallowed by unchecking this setting, please let me know.

Thank you for your time!

Hi there!

Yes, I agree that it should work regardless of this setting. And that will be the case in the next beta.

Welcome to the club,
Don
