I like to customize all my context menus to make them only have frequently used commands in them, so it is quicker to find items, so I think it would be beneficial if it was possible to make a CEA event for the tab context menu.

That menu has grown over time (most recently: Close Tabs to the Right) and now contains a lot of items that I personally never use from that menu, and I don't think I would be alone in wanting to customize it.

Another nice option. Thanks Don. Something to consider, if you set up this CEA for "run script", would it be possible for a user to always access the normal default right click menu by using a modifier key along with right click?

Also, is there a reason why you didn't have all the other drop-down actions available for this CEA as you have for middle click on tab? Thanks.

2) I found it too unusual to trigger this stuff via right-click.

Another possibility would be to have an action for middle click on tab "default right click menu", but middle click is a pain (or at least not as easy) for me and others, so I think I'd still like to see my first suggestion.

Edit: as far as the 2nd suggestion, I don't think "go home" for right click would be out of place or a big stretch especially if you could access the normal right click menu via a modifier key held or middle click.

which commands will you have in your custom menu?

I knocked this up yesterday, (in case the CEA was added), I haven't really added any custom commands yet, and it will probably change with use now the CEA is available, but this is what I got so far:

@klownboy: You can use #300 in Run Script with modifier.

The v25.00.0204 solution provides an even smaller menu than yours, which can be expanded by holding down CTRL. I assume that's good enough?

Yeah I was using .0203, so have just now noticed the mini menu, which I think is a good option for some people, and contains the basics for everyday use, especially with the invert ability, but for me I will definitely be using my own customization.

While new CEA is good addition, the new small menu is a useful extra! For the moment it's basically what i wanted the default menu to be shrunken to via script.
Yet once again it's a pity that XY doesn't allow base64 icons, menus with icons like that one from jupe add comfort.

Nice new options Don. For testing, I set right click tab with a script to "Go home". Works fine, but would it be possible to have the default Long menu come up whenever a "script" is used for action block and a modifier is held own when right clicking? So, for this situation someone could have an immediate action accomplished (by script) when right clicking the tab but always be able to bring up the default menu when a modifier is held with the right click. Which is in some ways similar to the right clicking a CTB, an immediate action can be assigned to the right click of the CTB, but if you hold down the modifier the "Click, Edit, Customize toolbar menu" is displayed.
