I have a Sony Alpha 6700 camera and whenever I open a folder containing the raw images (file extension: ARW, size: about 40 MB) XYplorer becomes unresponsive. It doesn't crash but it takes forever. I don't even have it show any preview images. I just want to open the folder. It is ok with there are only 10 files or fewer but when there are more it becomes a problem. Especially if I have 1000 images. The same happens when there are ARW files in a search result. Once the folder is opened I have no problems using XYplorer.
Windows Explorer isn't much better. It might be slow to get the date. I notice that it's fast to list the files but the date for each file has to be loaded slowly. Maybe it reads the date/time from the metadata of the pictures? But it's still faster. Even when I switch to viewing the preview images it is much faster.
I took 928 pictures yesterday and I use Lightroom to browse them but it's still annoying to click on that folder and then having to restart XYplorer because it would take too long.
I use version 24.90.0100 and Windows 10.

Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).
We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.
When attaching an Image, please use the Attachment tab at the bottom of your post and click "Add files".
