Exclusion for [Prompt on closing a locked tab]

Post by GreetingsFromPoland »

hi! would it be possible to add a sub-option under :

Code: Select all

Prompt on closing a locked tab
that would ignore a "Search Results" tab ?

i currently use this setup :

Code: Select all

Configuration | Find and Filter | Find Files & Branch View | Find Files | Show search results in | "Search results" tab (locked)

Code: Select all

Configuration | Tabs and Panes | Tabs | Open new tab | At the end

Code: Select all

Configuration | Tabs and Panes | Tabs | [x] Prompt on closing a locked tab
which does work well. all tabs are locked and put where they need to be; however, i tend to close my Search Results tabs after using it. i do this because i have noticed slow downs with tabs that either have quite a bit of results and/or their locations no longer exists (but the results still show). to correct this for me, i close the results tab and no issue. only drawback is that i get the prompt because it is a locked tab (to be expected).

possibly add an option like this :

Code: Select all

Configuration | Tabs and Panes | Tabs | Prompt on closing a locked tab | [x] Ignore prompt for Search Results tab
?

Wouldn't it be easier not to lock that tab in the first place?

Configuration (F9) - Find Files - Show search results in: "Search results" tab (unlocked)
