:info: Please include the following information:
1) Your XYplorer Version (e.g., v28.00.0801)
2) Your Windows Version (e.g., Win 11)
3) Your Screen Scaling Percentage (e.g., 125%).

:info: We strongly recommend adding your Windows Version and Screen Scaling Percentage to the Location field in your Profile or to your Signature. That way, you only have to type them once, and we won't have to search for that vital information.

Shell info tips weirdness

Post by henktiggelaar »

Shell info tips are acting a bit weird in XYplorer.

Reproduce:
- Start XYplorer with a clean profile
- Enable "Show these fields" (standard fields) in "File Info Tips & Hover Box" and apply
- Navigate to "C:\Windows" and place mouse on "win.ini": Some selected standard fields like "Date accessed" & "Owner" do not show up in the tooltip
- Enable "Use standard shell file info tips" and apply
- Place mouse on "win.ini": All selected standard fields show up in the tooltip
- Navigate to "C:\Users" and place mouse on your user profile folder: Most selected standard fields do not show up in the tooltip. This also applies to subfolders of your user profile folder and your recycle bin folder in "C:\$Recycle.Bin".

Indeed. That's a consequence of this fix: viewtopic.php?f=2&t=13253
The fix is necessary for all items in %user%, but not for %user% itself. In the next version the %user% folder itself will behave normally again.

Recycle Bin does not support Configuration | Information | File Info Tips & Hover Box | Show file info tips | Show these fields.
