Right-click on 64-bit Context Menu Does Not Appear

Post by Paperboy »

When I right-click the context menu while moving or copying a large file from an SSD to a USB 2.0 pen drive works fine when 32-bit context menu is used. However, this does not work when the 'Show the 64-bit context menu option is selected. Could you please, if possible, fix this?

When I try to right-click on a file to display the 64-bit context menu, this is possible, but not while transferring a large file from an SSD to a USB pen drive. I have to first wait for it to complete. This only persists on the 64-bit context menu.

Hmm. I'm not 100% sure but maybe what you want is background file operations? --> Configuration | File Operations | File Operations | Background Processing | Enable background processing

It was already enabled. I'm not sure why you moved my thread. It does not work. Like I said before, this only happens when the 64-bit context menu option is enabled. Could you please, if possible, fix this? If you can't then never mind.

If this is ticked: Configuration | General | Menus, Mouse, Usability | Mouse | Allow dragging from a background window

Does it make a difference to untick it?

I don't have that option. Maybe you made a mistake.

Ah, sorry, that's from the current beta version.

I think I have not really understood your issue. Maybe somebody else can help (me)?

This also does not happen on Windows Explorer. I think the problem is with the focus of XYplorer which only happens when the 64-bit context menu is used. I would prefer the 64-bit context menu instead of the 32-bit context menu. But like I said, if there is nothing you can do about it then never mind.

I copied a file to an external drive and the 64-bit menu works fine during the copy. Record a GIF showing the issue you're talking about?

I think I have found what's causing it to not display the context menu. It is the Cell Context Menu. This is a bug of XYplorer.

No, it's a setting. What about reading the Help before flooding the forum with "bug" reports?

Sorry, but in my opinion, it is a bug.

OK, I think I know what the issue is:

1. Menus, Mouse, Usability --> Cell Context Menu --> Hold Ctrl to show cell context menu
2. Custom Events Actions --> Clicking on White in file list --> Pop up folder's context menu

When I then try to right-click on the list side while copying or moving a large file from an SSD to a USB pen drive, the context menu does not appear when the 64-bit context menu option is enabled.
