Hey all, i use a few image browsers
XYplorer
Windows Explorer
Adobe Bridge

i have quiet a few really large jpg images, ie 12000x8000
all except xyplorer seems to generate them, any idea why xyplorer wouldnt, is there a limiter somewhere?

There are 2 settings that can influence this:
I'd assume unless you changed them manually in the past they are both set to 0 which should mean unlimited, but sometimes it can still have an internal max set by the dev, so you could try increasing them to a massive number, and see if it resolves.

yeah they are both set to zero, hmmmm

just wondering why some really large jpg images (like 30mbs) wont generate thumbnail in xyplorer

but no problem in adobe bridge for example

Interesting observation, and I can confirm it. Luckily I can also confirm that it will be fixed in the next beta.

some high res jpgs are still not generating

but i havent updated my xyplorer, have you released an update?

You're here on the forum - how hard is it to check yourself if there have been any updates

i havent updated mine for over a year, how do i know if the developer made a change since our comments

And, unless you're updating XY you will never get any bug fixes or new features, so it helps to stay current.

And I also need your feedback: does it work now?

i dont update programs unless something doesnt work
sometimes new updates introduce more problems than they solve as im sure 99% of you already know this with most programs

ok just tried it

had to update from
XYplorer_23.70_Install
to
XYplorer_24.20_Install BETA

the image still didnt produce a thumbnail
actually ill just include some images for you here guys incase youre willing to explore:

the large jpg is what were talking about

this new install broke thumbnail generation that "FastPictureViewer Codec Pack" enabled for files like:
.dng
.CR2
.arw
i included them in the dropbox link aswell

Works fine here, even MDBU and Hover Box work (though both take some seconds to come up).
