Mouse-wheel scrolling doesn't work in Catalog

Post by JustinF »

I just noticed that mouse-wheel scrolling doesn't work with the Catalog. It also doesn't work with any of the scrollable controls in the Configuration dialog (e.g. Previewed Formats, File Info Tips). Scrolling DOES work in the Tree, List, Info Panel (Raw View, etc.), and the tabs. Can anyone else confirm this? I have a Logitech keyboard/mouse combo and am running the latest version of the SetPoint software (v4.60.122).

I can confirm it.

I'm also using a Logitech mouse, but not with SetPoint.
However, it appears to work fine from my Dell laptop's touch pad.

Oh yeah, here as well. Must be due to recent changes and how those controls have been rewritten I suppose...

(For the record though, I hadn't noticed anything because of course everything still works perfectly fine with KatMouse ;))

Hmm, I thought all cases had been covered during the long testing period here in the forum....

So, please check out this little test suite and see whether you can get any scrolling:

hmmm... why oh why is the world crowded with non-standard mice?

I was not surprised about the need for "Extra Wheel Support" as it was already stated here: http://www.xyplorer.com/xyfc/viewtopic. ... 2652#22652 ... Logitech is the Netscape among mice: it forces programmers to code circles around its bugs and I really hope it will finally fade away...

Technika ... :? ... so every mouse manufacturer must re-invent the mouse-wheel??? Sigh...

because they are very, very cheap! and more reliable than Microsoft mice - I can live with it but this is the first time I have found this mouse not behaving. The name is a mere marketing thing - made in China like a thousand other makes.

Okay, before I rewrite the list controls again I'd like to know: Is there anybody out there with a LogiTech mouse that does wheel-scroll the Catalog?

Would you mind explaining what you mean by that? I'm not entirely clear and I do have Logitech mouse so if anything I'd like to provide feedback.

I mean: Does the mouse-wheel work as expected (does it trigger scrolling) when you use it over the Catalog?
